MINIATURE CARRIAGE CLOCK WITH MINUTE REPEAT AND TRAVELLING CASE

Movement
Gilt brass miniature carriage clock with a Swiss lever escapement on a platform with hairspring balance and regulation. In addition, it has repetition on demand, which is activated by a button on the top of the case and which indicates the time on two gongs. The hours are indicated on one gong, then the quarters with a double stroke on two gongs, followed by the minutes on one gong. The clock is wound from the back, where the time can also be set and the movement can be regulated (R & A). The backplate is marked: BREVET 30225 and the Swiss cross as well as the number and sign 1243 NOCTURNE.

Dial
The circular white enamel dial has a Roman chapter ring with quarter-hour and golden dots minute divisions and silvered five minutes marks. The time is indicated by a pair of blued steel spade and poker hands. The dial is protected by a facetted glass set in an engine-turned silver bezel.

Case
The rectangular gilt brass case with ‘’watered silk decoration’ rests on four bun feet, is surmounted by a shaped carrying handle.

Travelling case
The leather covered wooden travelling case is lined with silk on the inside and can be opened at the side by a catch. There is a carrying handle at the top.
